A one-day workflow for menu stills and motion together
How to get a full set of retouched menu stills and a graded 60-second atmosphere film out of a single shoot day, without two crews or two looks.
Two shoots means two looks. Clients notice, even when they cannot say why — the stills are cool and the film is warm, and the campaign never quite settles.
Sequence the day by light, not by medium
I do not split the morning into stills and the afternoon into video. I follow the light around the room and shoot both in each position, which keeps the colour consistent across the whole set.
Lock the look before the first frame
One Kelvin value, one picture profile, one LUT. Everything downstream inherits it.
Deliver in two passes
Same-day selects go out as a web gallery so the team can start posting. Graded stills and the cut film follow within five to seven days, with vertical cutdowns in the same delivery.
